In September, I was feeling pretty discouraged about being passed up for the last round of long term contracts (LTOs). An online friend suggested that I become a seller with Teachers Pay Teachers to keep me busy on the days I didn't work. I thought it was a great idea since I could stay in the "teaching frame of mind" even if I wasn't teaching. I uploaded some resources that I created during my LTO last year and got some very positive feedback and encouragement from everyone. Once I started selling, I was hooked. I have found a hobby that now MAKES me money instead of COST me money. (My hubby is very happy about that as well!)
It didn't take long before I wanted a logo, something that people could remember me by. I remembered a picture that a grade 4 student drew for me a few years ago. I admired her talent and treasured this picture. (I keep it in my journal). I thought that it would be perfect for my logo!

by Avery, Grade 4 So I spent some time figuring out how to make a digital file using Paint. It took hours of tracing, but I love the result. This little image is on my TpT store, on my Facebook Page and on my business cards. Oh! And on my school lanyard as a keychain as well! ;) |
