This is one of
my very first pins after I joined Pinterest.
I loved the idea from Teacher Time 123 so much that I absolutely had to try it out
for myself.
I printed out
Angry Birds colouring pages and students wrote a sentence on the birds they
chose. They underlined the subject and
circled the verb. Once I had checked
them over, they coloured and put up on the hallway bulletin board. Here’s the end
result. I took the picture before all the birds and pigs were added. It filled up a bit more. I loved it!
It was so much fun for the kids
and we got tons of positive feedback from the other students of the
school. One confused teacher (who had no
idea what Angry Birds is) came to us and asked why we called them Angry Verbs
and why didn’t we use Happy Verbs instead.
The class thought it was pretty funny, but they were very excited to
tell her all about Angry Birds. I love play on words like this!
This is one of my favourite ideas for
bulletin boards and I will definitely be doing it again!
