An April Snow Day

This is my view from my “office” window this morning.  Can you say SNOW DAY?!?!  :D  When you live in Northern Ontario, this is typical for April.  Yesterday, the only snow left on the ground was the small hills, covered in sand, that were slow melting. From one day to another, we never know what kind of weather we’re going to get.

A lot of my friends are complaining about this super long winter we’re living through this year, but I’m not one of them. I don’t mind the cold and the snow.  This is the only time of the year when my allergies don’t take over my life.  I hate the summer heat and humidity and am so uncomfortable and miserable on the +30C days that we get in July and August!  So, you won’t see me complaining on my Facebook status today!

My plans for today?  Because I’m a substitute teacher, my day was cancelled today because of the weather.  So, instead of working, I’m staying in, spending time with my kids (bus transportation is cancelled today, and hubby too the car to work, so the kids are at home), catching up on some work and playing with my Bamboo Splash tablet!   Sounds like a good plan to me!

What’s your favourite thing to do on a Snow Day?
