Monday Math Game - Find-a-Ship Coordinate Grid Game (Battleship for SMART Board)

Today’s featured game is the last one for this school year.  It is from Erin Beattie.  She has been teaching 5^th grade for 13 out of her 15 years in teaching! She created this game, Find-a-Ship Coordinate Grid Game (Battleship for SMART Board) for her students.

Grade Level:

Grades 4, 5, 6

Materials Needed:

• printer
• paper (or cardstock for best results)

How to Play the Game:

In the style of Battleship, this game is a perfect way for your students to learn about and practice using the Cartesian coordinate system!  

Included:

• game boards for the first quadrant
• complete four-quadrant game board
• ready-to-go game board with all ships and misses activated to reveal upon touch of the SMART board
• blank game boards for you to customize
• a complete set of instructions and scoring rules
• scoreboard fully linked to Find-a-Ship game board pages
