I had a blast finding all the little things that would make her smile! There's quite the story behind how I got that basket delivered to her! I wanted it to be a complete surprise. We live a little over an hour apart, and had planned on getting together Labour Day Monday. I was going to give it to her then, but our plans fell through. You know teachers!! We're always super busy the day before school starts!! I was a little bummed that she wouldn't have it for the first day of school. I wasn't about to drive up there just to drop it off (she would've been mad at me for wasting the gas!). So, with a little help from her husband and mine, I figured it out. Colin (my hubby) usually works about 45 minutes east of where we live, but Tuesday, he happened to be needed out of town and was going to be driving by Tammy's house! Bonus! He left way too early to knock on her door, so he left it in her car, on the front seat (her husband made sure the doors were unlocked when he left for his fishing trip!). She was definitely surprised! :) Yay! Mission accomplished!
I've seen a lot of my blogger friends create little gifts and treats for their colleagues and teacher friends for back to school. Julie from Mme Julie's Classroom shared these super cute labels she made today! Go check out her blog post by clicking here or click on the picture below to download your own. This is a super cute (and cheap!) idea for colleagues! I've downloaded my own set and plan on using them well...maybe even after Christmas break! ;)
That is the perfect basket! I bet your friend was delighted!!
